Felix Felicis

The story behind my cute little sidekick.

As you may know - I love Harry Potter. I grew up reading the books and maybe because I went to boarding school it was just the perfect series for me.

To this day still listen to the audiobooks every night to go to sleep - I know slightly pathetic for a 23 year old but I really struggle with my anxiety at bed time so for the last 10 years thats how I've got myself to sleep.

When I was looking for a dog, I knew I wanted a Cavalier King Charles Spaniels as they are the most affectionate little dogs that happily lounge on the sofa all day but equally love a long walk. As long as they are with humans they're pretty content. However, they are renowned for having serious health issues which are a result of irresponsible breeding.

So when I came across a local breeder who was and still is very knowledgable and responsible I was thrilled but when I saw the name.. I knew I needed one of her puppies.

All of the puppies last names for their pedigree certificates was Fortunamajor. Felix came from a breeder that had a Luna, Harry, Ginny, Bella and a Rita. I mean it was meant to be.

Felix's full Kennel Club name is Felix Felicis Fortunamajor. Felix Felicis is a lucky potion (liquid luck) and Fortunamajor is one of the Gryffindor common room password.
